We're not your typical project-based dance company. Our mission is bigger than showcasing our artistic directors' work - we're building world-class repertoire accessible to independent, freelance dancers in BC.
Through our own creations and commissions, we provide local artists access to the kind of work typically only available through full-time employment at large-scale companies. We're internationally connected but truly Canadian - an artist-led model that maintains creative and financial control from conception through realization.
By producing our own work in partnership with like-minded local institutions, we retain box office revenue and build sustainable income streams while maintaining artistic integrity. This means we can pay artists fairly, take creative risks, and nurture the next generation.
But here's the reality: As we continue to grow artistically, we need sustainable, predictable support to match our artistic ambitions with organizational capacity.

✨ Building diverse repertoire for BC's independent dance community.
✨ UNIVERSUS presented at Vancouver Playhouse and at Dance Victoria, reaching over 1500 audience members.
✨Commissioned STATERA, Fernando Magadan’s first professional Canadian creation outside of Ballet BC.
✨ Received critical acclaim, with Arts Addict calling Everything and Nothing (created by Alexis + Sylvain), "a seminal work in our dance history."
✨ Review Vancouver called UNIVERSUS, “an extraordinary double bill that left me utterly transformed,
…amongst the most embodied dance productions I have ever seen.”
✨ Commissioned by Ballet Kelowna for MainStage premiere in November 2025
✨ Toured to Toronto, Germany, the UK, and Vancouver Island
✨ Celebrated 10 years of The Dance Deck - our beloved grassroots summer festival
